How to see the gaps in your business

As business owners, we fall into the trap of being too much inside our own business.

So much so, that we can’t see the gaps. We can’t see how to make our systems function smoother. We can’t see the next step to elevate our business. We can’t see beyond.

If you are following me on TikTok you would have seen I am adding a lot more content here.

There’s a reason for that.

I have been feeling like my audience is hanging out over there, but at the same time I didn’t want to commit to adding yet another thing to my plate

Another platform to learn

Another strategy to create

😩

It wasn’t until I chatted with my friend (who loves the platform), that I had the realization I was too much in my business to see the simplicity of the platform

We had an in-depth conversation about the patterns she sees on there as an end user

And It was like a lightbulb moment 💡

It gave me the information I needed to clearly see how to create a strategy, what kind of content to populate and how to drive sales

One simple 20-minute conversation pulled me out of “this is going to be hard and add another thing to my use plate”

The reality is, we are too inside our business to see how we can quickly adjust, simplify our systems and grow all at the same time, at a new speed.

Here is where I suggest you start:

  1. Take yourself outside your regular “work environment” (get out of your office), and audit your business.

Review your website. Ask yourself, what is this? How does it help me? Why would I take it? What makes this a no-brainer offer for me
Check past conversations with clients and prospects. Did they ask similar questions? Are those answers easy to find now on your website?

Audit your social media channels as well. Ask yourself: Do people know what I do? Do they understand how I can help them? And does it look like it works for me or my clients?

  2. Get a business coach to audit your website and social media. Getting expert feedback from someone who has been where you are and is where you want to be, will set you up faster and further. Message me if you would like an audit.

For example:

My client B needed to talk about a meeting with a new client before it happened to figure out what questions to ask this prospect to be able to quote them because this package is not something she has offered before, but something she has been dreaming about.

Or my client I, who has been trying to find a simple solution around something that has been causing her anxiety for months. A simple switch in her point of view got it resolved within 4 days.

We all need a second set of eyes.

It is what sets you apart and puts you ahead further than you imagined you could get.
