How to Transition From Day Job to Dream Life

When I went full-time in my business I kept saying “I am going full-time in my life”. I didn’t like the idea that I was going to work full-time. Not because I am unrealistic - I know you need to dedicate time to your business - but beach I didn’t like the idea that work would come above all else.

I’m sure you’ve heard the concept either “you live to work, or you work to live”… well, what if I choose a lifestyle that excites me and structure my income to work within it?

That’s what I meant when said I was going all in on my lifestyle.

My idea was to create a lifestyle that was realistic. Do I want to spend my days on a yacht? Yes. But that’s the lifestyle I am working towards 3 years from now not 3 months from now.

If you are ready to transition to your dream life, this is where I suggest starting:

  1. Picture yourself 3-6 months from now. You have no one telling you what to do. Now ask yourself:

    • How do I earn money?

    • How do I spend my mornings?

    • How do I dress?

    • How do I feel?

    • What does my calendar look like?

    • What do my weekends look like?

    • Who do I spend time with?

    • How do I feel?

Map out the lifestyle you desire

2. From the list above, what can you start doing now to live that life? I am not suggesting you leave your full-time job tomorrow (unless you truly feel called to). But you can start your business next week. You can feel the way you feel 3-6 months from now, today. You can start dressing the way your future self dresses.

3. What is stopping you? What are the possible obstacles you may face? For each obstacle, write down three solutions.

Your dream life can become your reality in a short amount of time. I am proof of this and so are my clients.

You have the power.

Take the action.

Commit to it knowing no one else needs to get it.
